
BIO
Arthur Fernandes is a Brazilian trumpeter, artistic director, and music educator with more than 30 years of professional experience. He was a member of Quinteto Metais do Paraná from 1995 to 2022 and served as a contracted trumpeter with the State University of Londrina Symphony Orchestra (OSUEL) from 2002 to 2007.
Throughout his career, he has participated in major music festivals and artistic projects across Brazil, refining his training with distinguished trumpet artists including Nailson Simões, Cícero Cordão, and Charles Schlueter of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. As an educator, he has contributed to the training of young musicians and has served as guest faculty at music festivals in Brazil.
In 2025, he performed with the Unicamp Trumpet Ensemble at the International Trumpet Guild Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 2026, he was invited by the Midcoast Symphony Orchestra to perform in concerts of Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, “Resurrection,” and by the Portland Conservatory of Music to present a Trumpet and Piano Recital and teach a masterclass.
Currently, Fernandes serves as Artistic Director of Coral Ébano, Electro Beat Orchestra, and Ébano Produções, while developing concert, recording, and music education projects in Brazil and abroad. He is also pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at UniCesumar.
